Title: Principal Software Engineer/Java Architect
Type: Full Time, Permanent Job
Location: San Francisco Peninsula, California, USA
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key technical member of the engineering team, architect, implement, and maintain a highly scalable and highly available our communication platform. This platform can be deployed in the cloud or on premise.
Individual developers and telecom carriers can build high value applications and deploy them on our platform rapidly. Work closely with Product Management team to develop product roadmap and provide technical guidance to offshore engineering team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should have a can-do attitude. Enjoys and thrives working in a dynamic and fast moving start-up environment. Must have experience in leading the design and implementation complex and sizeable VOIP software systems across front-end and backend database systems. Good verbal and written communication skills are must.
BS in CS or a related field is required. MS in CS or a related field preferred. Must have 13+ years of progressive technical experience in enterprise software development.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Our cloud products are built on JAVA. The candidates must have strong expertise in the following areas:
• Expert in J2EE Core and Java Servlet programming
• Expert in Java multithreading and concurrent programming
• Strong in VOIP and SIP protocols
• System high availability design and implementation
• Java server application performance and scalability tuning
• Test automation
Good to Have
• Script language such as Ruby
• Java Web frameworks such as Spring
• Server virtualization
• Cloud product development
ADDITIONAL NOTES
This position requires SIP back-end system development expertise and passion for architectural excellence. We are a fast moving start-up so the candidate should be flexible and adaptable in dealing with changing requirements
