Senior Java Engineer (web) in China

Type: Full Time
Location: Beijing, China






Responsibilities:



  • Design, implement, debug, and maintain
    Java-based software for communication cloud services.

  • Develop unit test harnesses and perform unit and
    integration testing on various components and features

  • Adopt agile development methodologies and
    participate with team members in the planning, design, development, and deployment
    process.

  • Document your development efforts for your
    teammates, quality assurance, support, and even sales/marketing

  • Enthusiastically assist the Customer Engineering
    team in the research and resolution of customer issues










Required Skills and Experiences:



  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Equivalent

  • Solid experience on server-side Java product development, especially Spring framework

  • Practical experience with REST based web services and frameworks, such as Jersey

  • Good experience with various open source technologies such as Tomcat, Appach
    commons, etc.

  • Proficiency with the SQL and Object/Relational Mapping technologies such as JPA and
    Hibernate.

  •     Practical experience with Java system performance and scalability testing and tuning

  •     Experience with source control, build management, test, dependency, and continuous
    integration platforms including Subversion/Git, JUnit, Ant/Maven, and
    Jenkins/CruiseControl.

  • Strongly self-motivated on problem solving and learning new technologies

  • A good team player and comfortable in a highly dynamic environment.










Desired Skills and Experiences:





  • Experience with no-sql databases such as Cassendra

    • Proficiency with presentation-layer technologies such as JSP, JSF, CSS, HTML, Javascript,
    and AJAX

English and Chinese Skills:


  • Preferred: Native or fluent in Chinese and good at reading and writing in English

  • Exceptions may be made for someone who is otherwise qualified for the job
