WiFi Architects / Directors (MAC or PHY, Algorithm)

Job Description:

• Job Title: WiFi Architects / Directors (Algorithm, PHY, MAC) (multiple openings)
• Job Industry: Chip Design Industry (eg. WIFI, 3G/LTE, or broadcasting)
• Job Location: Work primarily in China (Beijing) also aboard (USA)
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Compensation: competitive; will be US standard for Chinese returnees from the US
• Relocation: may available when needed
• Chinese language: proficient speaking & reading skills are required

Summary:

A fast growing IC design company based in China targeting global markets and preparing its IPO is hiring. Looking for hands-on WiFi Architects or Directors with strong technical background in Algorithm, PHY or MAC. The exact title may subject to change depends on the candidate’s background and expertise.

Given the new WIFI product, we need to hire two key positions (System Architect or Director):

1. WIFI Physical Layer Architect/Algorithm Architect/Director

Responsibilities:

• Define physical layer architecture for WIFI, 802.11 a/b/g/n/c.
• Build and lead a team to develop physical layer algorithm for WIFI.
• Work with RF team to define RF transceiver architecture.
• Work with MAC team to define MAC architecture.

Requirements:

• Strong technical background on communication theory and real communication system.
• In-depth experience in AGC, channel equalization, MIMO, beamforming, coding.
• Understand ASIC implementation.
• Understand RF and Mixed signal architecture.
• Minimum 3 years experiences on communication systems such as WIFI, LTE, WiMax, DSL.

2. WIFI MAC Layer Architect/Director

Responsibilities:

• Define MAC layer architecture for WIFI, 802.11 a/b/g/n/c.
• Build and lead a team to develop MAC layer algorithm for WIFI.
• Work with RF and baseband team to define the whole chip architecture.

Requirements:

• Strong technical background on MAC protocol, such as WIFI or Ethernet.
• In-depth knowledge in embedded CPU and software.
• Minimum 3 years experiences on communication systems such as WIFI, LTE, WiMax, DSL.
